Roles & responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable database systems
Strong expertise in writing complex SQL queries, joins, views, stored procedures, and triggers
Experience in database design, schema creation, normalization, and data modeling
Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and execution plan analysis
Hands-on experience with RDBMS like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server
Experience working with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB
Implement backup, recovery, and data security mechanisms
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across systems
Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with applications
Experience with ETL processes and data migration is an added advantage
Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is a plus
Proficient understanding of version control systems like Git
Exposure to database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Ability to handle large datasets and high-transaction systems
Qualification
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
4+ years of relevant experience in database development is mandatory
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in a diverse and cross-functional environment
Relevant certifications in database technologies will be an added advantage
Understanding of Software/Product Development Life Cycle
Willingness to work from client place.
